SK Oil
The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Amlarem, has informed that SK Oil for March will be made available to the SK Oil Retailers on Friday and Saturday. The public have been urged to contact their fair price shops dealers.

Shaheed Diwas
Metallica-Sargam Sports & Cultural Club in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong, marked Shaheed Diwas by holding sketches and patriotic poem recitation competitions on freedom fighters. According to a statement, the programme, which was thematised on ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’, was held at RB Anupchand Hindi Secondary School, Keating Road.

Exhibition
An exhibition on ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’, 75 weeks long celebration of 75 years of Independence of India, was inaugurated on Thursday by Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat. The exhibition is being organised by Field Outreach Bureau, Nongstoin, at TRYSEM hall, DC’s office, and will remain open to public till March 27.

Plastic ban
South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner has prohibited use of polythene bags, plastic films etc., with thickness less than 50 microns including thermocol.

Closure
In view of the upcoming elections in Assam, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Excise) has ordered closure of wine shops, bars and bonded warehouses located in Hallidayganj, Rajabala, Phulbari, Tikrikilla, Chibinang, Zekabari, Putamati and Rongsai besides areas bordering Assam from April 4 to 6.
