PHE minister condemns assault

MAWKYRWAT, March 27: PHE Minister, Renikton L Tongkhar, on Saturday condemned the assault of three youths from Wahkaji, South West Khasi Hills, at Golf Links recently.
Speaking to media persons, Tongkhar said the assault incident must have worried people from rural areas who are studying and employed in the state capital.
“I condemned this barbarian act. Criminals are criminals, whoever they are. The government should also take this matter very seriously,” Tongkhar said. “I urge the Police department to arrest the criminals,” he added.
