The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded Grade ‘C’ to Mawsynram Border Area College for being an institute imparting quality education. According to a statement on Thursday, a peer team constituted by NAAC had visited the institute on March 10 and 11. “The accreditation makes MBAC the only self-financing institutes in Meghalaya that invited Assessment Committee for the first cycle of accreditation as it will assist the stakeholders in getting various benefits,’ the statement said.

Dry day in EKH

Curfew extended
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh has extended the night curfew in the district till April 8. According to the order, the restrictions and relaxations during the curfew hours will remain the same.
