Mawkyrwat, April 12: The 1st (L) Lurshai Hynniewta T20 Cricket Tournament, 2021 organised by the KSU Nongtrai Unit at madan Nongtrai village, Mawsynram C&RD Block, East Khasi Hills District commenced today with the participation of 16 teams. The first match of the tournament was played between KSU Malai Sohmat Area Unit and Sohlap from Shella. KSU Malai Sohmat Area batted first, scoring 67 runs in 20 overs. Sohlap (Shella) achieved the target in only 10 overs losing three wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. The second match of the day saw Shaka Thong from Thyllaw village take on Young Blue from Nongtrai. Young Blue won the match by 7 wickets, chasing Shaka Thong’s score of 56 runs.
