One held on rape charge

NONGSTOIN, April 12: A man was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl at Themiew, Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Albert Lyngkhoi (18) of Mawlum Ramkdait village, had gone to the house of the minor on  the night of April 8 in New Nongstoin and allegedly perpetrated the crime.
The minor’s father subsequently lodged a complaint with Nongstoin Police Station and based on the complaint, the accused person was nabbed by the police.
