DC extends night curfew in SWGH

TURA, April 19: In view of the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the state, South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ramakrishna Chitturi, has extended the continuing curfew in the district from 10 pm to 5 am from April 19 until further orders.
While exemptions issued in the fresh order remain the same, other permitted activities have been revised.
As per the new order, the maximum number of persons allowed in places of worship, during religious, social and private gathering and for spectators during outdoor sports is 50 per cent of the seating capacity. Cinema halls have been directed to operate at 50 per cent capacity, while shops, restaurants and bars will close at 9 pm.
