NONGSTOIN, May 11: The Sessions Court, Nongstoin has convicted one Wanjer Lawriniang for raping his mother and sentenced him to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000. The convict was also sentenced to one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1000 in another case.
The accused had committed the crime on March 28, 2019 at his residence at Thangmaw village in Mairang, West Khasi Hills.
