The Superintendent of Police of East Khasi Hills, in an advisory issued here on Tuesday, informed that complaints have been received by the East Khasi Hills District Police that an unidentified person using the email id ‘[email protected]’ is masking as the Head of Department of various institutions and attempting to dupe colleagues/subordinates/contacts of the victims by asking them to send money. A case has been registered and the public have been advised not to fall prey or respond to any emails received from the above email address, the SP said in the advisory.
Condolence
Members of Geetali, a socio-cultural organisation from Laban, have condoled the demise of Dipak Choudhury, who passed away on May 13 at his residence at Rilbong, Shillong. “He was a wonderful human being and always remained helpful towards the club. Members express their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family,” the members said.
