SHILLONG, June 15: Two students from Kendriya Vidyalaya EAC, Upper Shillong — Sudhanshu Om Pandey and Shikha Joshi — represented Meghalaya as student delegates along with Teacher Shivanjali Tyagi at the Model Conference of Parties-2 (MCOP-2) hosted by World Wide Fund for Nature-India or WWF-India on the theme ‘Our Solutions are in Nature’.
Sudhanshu and Shikha were among the 72 students from 28 States and eight UTs who participated in the MCOP-2. These students from different states drafted action plans, and biodiversity experts took the students through the Convention for Biological Diversity (CBD) processes and honed their skills at negotiations on the goals and targets.
