Rice released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of West Jaintia Hills has informed that AAY, PHH and non-NFSA rice besides the PMGKAY quota of rice for June has been released to all wholesalers. AAY quota of rice will be distributed at 35 kg per card at Rs 3 per kg for both rural and urban areas. The scale for PHH is 5 kg per head per month at Rs 3 for both rural and urban areas and for non-NFSA is 7.215 kg per household at the rate fixed by the Vigilance Committee not exceeding Rs14 per kg for both rural and urban areas. The PMGKAY quota for AAY and PHH will be distributed at the scale of 5 kg per head per month free of cost.

Price revision
The Deputy Commissioner (supply) also said that the price of SK oil has been revised and fixed with immediate effect. Wholesale price from Jowai and Thadlaskein Depot is at Rs 40 per litre and wholesale price from Shangpung outlet at Rs 42.50 per litre. The retail prices from Jowai and Thadlaskein SK Oil Depot is Rs 42.50 per litre and at Shangpung SK Oil outlet it is Rs 45.40 per litre.
