SHILLONG, June 16: Meghalaya Police bid a tearful adieu to its service dog, K-9 Rani, who passed away on Wednesday.
Born on November 6, 2011, K-9 Rani played a crucial role in tracking explosives and saving many lives during the course of service.
“Today, with heavy heart, we bid tearful adieu to K-9 Rani, a valued member of our department, who left for heavenly abode, after battling chronic illness,” Meghalaya Police said in tweet. “Godspeed, Rani, you will be missed,” it added.
