TURA, June 24: PHE Minister Renikton L Tongkhar has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing work for Greater Garobadha Water Supply Scheme.
Tongkhar on Thursday visited the water supply site with Selsella MLA FCA Sangma and reviewed the progress.
Speaking to engineers, construction firm officials and village elders, the PHE minister said he was surprised to see that almost 50 per cent of the work has been completed even though the project was sanctioned only a few months ago.
“This is the biggest water supply scheme in the region, which has been made possible by the Jal Jeevan Mission at a cost of Rs 107 crore,” he said. (Contd on P-4)
