SHILLONG, June 29: COVID-19 recoveries outnumbered fresh cases yet again in the state on Tuesday.
While 378 fresh cases were detected in the state, a total of 489 persons recovered from the viral infection in the past 24 hours.
Four more COVID-related deaths were recorded on Tuesday taking the total number fatalities to 831.
One death each was reported from East Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills, Ri Bhoi and South West Khasi Hills.
Out of the new cases, 110 were detected in East Khasi Hills, 77 in South Garo Hills, 66 in West Jaintia Hills, 54 in West Garo Hills, 45 in North Garo Hills, 22 in East Garo Hills, 19 in Ri Bhoi, 13 in West Khasi Hills, 11 in South West Khasi Hills and nine in East Jaintia Hills.
The recoveries included 135 in East Khasi Hills, 113 in West Jaintia Hills, 64 in West Garo Hills, 55 in Ri-Bhoi, 28 in East Garo Hills, 19 each in South West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills, 13 in East Jaintia Hills, 12 in North Garo Hills and seven in West Khasi Hills.
The active tally stands at 4263 while the number of persons cured/discharged has gone up to 44,067.
