SHILLONG, July 2: The Social Welfare department has invited applications from eligible citizens for constitution of the new body of the Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW).
The term of the previous team expired in November last year.
“Interested candidates are to submit their application on or before July 15 to the following email-id: [email protected] or [email protected],” a senior official said on Friday.
“Prior to the expiry of the tenure of the previous body, the department had called for recommendations from all the deputy commissioners in September 2020,” the official said.
The government had set up a Search and Select Committee on April 28 to constitute the new body of the MSCW with the Commissioner and Secretary, Social Welfare department, as the chairperson and the director as the member secretary.
