New Delhi, July 26: Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday felicitated weightlifter Mirabai Chanu who won a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics, and announced a reward of Rs 2 crore and a promotion in her job in the Northeast Frontier Railway. Manchester United, Real Madrid agree fee for Varane
Manchester, July 27: France defender Raphael Varane took a step closer to becoming a Manchester United player when the English Premier League club agreed a fee with Real Madrid. The initial fee is believed to be around 39.8million Euros but final details are still be completed. Varane’s impending arrival is the second big deal for United in recent weeks after Jadon Sancho’s move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund. (AP)
Barcelona condemns racist abuse against teenage player
Barcelona, July 27: Racist abuse against teenage player Ilaix Moriba on social media was condemned by Barcelona on Tuesday. The 18-year-old Moriba earlier used his TikTok account to denounce the abuse he has been receiving while negotiating his contract renewal with the Catalan club. He posted a video of himself checking social media on a cell phone while some of the insults popped up on the screen. He shook his head and wrote, Really? Barcelona posted the same video on its Twitter accounts along with the phrases We love football. We fight racism. (AP)
Bengaluru United appoint former India player as goalkeeping coach
