Enrolment
The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has asked people who want to get enrolled for Aadhaar to visit the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Shillong, or the offices of the Block Development Officers of all C&RD Blocks. In a statement, the DC added that Aadhaar enrolment on ‘camp mode’ is also being carried out, depending on the requests received from the government departments, institutions, organisations, schools, colleges, localities etc. “For any request for conducting of Camp Mode Aadhaar Enrolment, a letter may be submitted to the undersigned or to the Asstt. Nodal Officer, Aadhaar Enrolment, East Khasi Hills District, at [email protected],” the statement said.

Natl Lok Adalat
The East Jaintia Hills District Legal Services Authority will organise National Lok Adalat on September 11 at the district court premises from 10 am onwards. This was informed by the Secretary, East Jaintia Hills District Legal Services Authority, in a statement on Friday. “In this regard, all concerned parties who have received notices are requested to attend the National Lok Adalat for settlement or disposal of their cases,” the statement said.

Fare cap
The West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that fare per head from Jowai to Shillong and vice versa for Sumo/ Bolero/ Ertiga/Maxx/ Scorpio/ Innova Force Cruiser with original seating capacity should not exceed Rs 131.2 per head while the same for Swift/Alto/Santro/Kwid/Wagon R/Celerio should not exceed Rs 288 per head.
