More SBI ATM kiosks likely for GH

SHILLONG, Sep 18: In a bid to bring banking closer to people in Garo Hills, the State Bank of India (SBI) plans to introduce more ATM kiosks in various parts of the region.
The was informed by the Regional Manager of SBI, Tura, Dharmananda Banai, during the inauguration of an SBI ATM kiosk at Jengjal on Saturday.
The new ATM kiosk located on the Tura-Williamnagar-Guwahati junction highway and attached to SBI Jengjal branch was inaugurated by Rongram BDO, Shelley Momin.
The inaugural programme, on the other hand, was attended by officials from the SBI, including the Regional Manager.
Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Manager of SBI informed that the SBI is contemplating opening more ATMs at places like Kharkutta, Mendipathar, Williamnagar, Rongkhon, NEHU campus, Tetengkol and Hawakhana so as to bring banking closer to the doorsteps of the people in the region.
