COVID-19 death toll touches 1,400-mark

SHILLONG, Sep 29: The COVID-19 death toll in the state touched the 1,400-mark on Wednesday after three patients succumbed to the infection in the past 24 hours.
With 169 fresh cases reported in the state, the active tally now stands at 1,693. As many as 78,068 patients have recovered in the state including 166 on Wednesday.
Out of the 169 fresh cases, 95 were reported in East Khasi Hills, 40 in West Khasi Hills, 20 in Ri Bhoi, six in West Jaintia Hills, three in East Jaintia Hills, two each in West Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills and one in East Garo Hills.
