53 fresh cases, no deaths

SHILLONG, Oct 23: The state on Saturday recorded 53 fresh COVID-19 cases while no death was reported in the past 24 hours.
The active tally has come down to 695 while 81,184 have recovered so far including 56 on the day. The death toll remains at 1,443.
34 fresh cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, six from West Janitia Hills, four from Ri Bhoi, three each from East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills and two from East Jaintia Hills, one from West Garo Hills.
