Dry day
The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills, has declared period from 4 pm of October 28 till October 30 as dry day in view of the pre-polling and polling days besides November 2 being the counting day in all areas falling under Mawryngkneng and Mawphlang Assembly constituencies.
Programme
The District Legal Service Authority, South West Khasi Hills, in collaboration with the office of the Superintendent of Police and the office of the District Medical & Health Officer, on Wednesday organised a legal awareness programme on ‘Drugs Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ at Mawkyrwat Market. During the programme, the Dorbar Shnong, NGOs, Seng Samla and Seng Longkmie were asked to always be alert against the menace of drugs.
