VC bats for new courses in NEHU

GUWAHATI, Nov 15: NEHU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, has stressed on the implementation of three language need-based courses — tunnel farming, piggy and fisheries-related courses — in the University.
Prof. Shukla was speaking at a meeting of vice chancellors of North East-based universities and higher educational institutes on the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
During the meeting, deliberations were held by the vice chancellors on the topic of common curriculum building, academic credit transfer, and multi-entry and exit in any course of NEP 2020.
They also put forth their suggestions and views on the new education policy.
Emphasizing on skill development, NEHU vice chancellor spoke on how to implement various courses of different universities towards the implementation of NEP 2020.
National Secretary of Education Culture Upliftment Trust, during the meeting, called the ancient knowledge tradition of India as the best knowledge tradition in the world.
He also advocated Indianisation of education in India.
The vice chancellors also presented many suggestions to make the NEP 2020 a success.
