SHILLONG, Nov 29: The much-awaited Shillong Engineering College building is likely to be commissioned by January next year.
An official at the Public Works Department (PWD) informed that the work on the college is almost completed.

Informing that they intend to finish the work before Meghalaya marks 50 years of statehood, the official said, “We are optimistic that the project will not take much time.”
Located at Mawlai, the existing polytechnic is being remodelled to meet the requirements of a full-fledged engineering college.
The work on the project was, however, delayed due to COVID-19 situation.
