Group for completion of infra projects

NONGSTOIN, Dec 3: The United Achik Youth Federation (UAYF) has sought Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong’s intervention into incomplete infrastructural projects between Shallang and Khalu via Rengdim, West Khasi Hills.
In a memorandum to the deputy chief minister, who is also the Minister in charge of PWD department, the UAYF alleged that the construction of PMGSY road and bridges is lying incomplete for a decade now. The group also rued how locals, who commute on a regular basis, have been bearing the brunt of the incomplete infrastructural projects.
The situation gets further aggravated during monsoons, the group said.
