Bike-borne miscreants rob Ri Bhoi woman

NONGPOH, Dec 10: A woman in Ri Bhoi was robbed of 3 lakh in broad daylight by two bike-borne miscreants on Friday.
The incident happened outside State Bank of India (SBI) in Mawsmai 11 Mile when the woman, identified as Rani Nath, had just come out of the bank after withdrawing the aforesaid cash.
When Nath reached outside the bank premises, two unidentified miscreants, riding a bike, snatched away her bag which contained the cash she had just withdrawn.
The victim, who tried to resist the theft bid, instead suffered hand and leg injury during the course of the incident.
Meanwhile, sources informed that the victim could not identify the registration plate of the bike, which the miscreants used to perpetrate the theft.
Meanwhile, Ri Bhoi Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
