19 illegal coal laden trucks detected in Ri Bhoi

NONGPOH: The illegal transportation of coal, it seems,  will be on the rise in days to come despite the prohibition in place.

The Ri Bhoi Police yesterday managed to detect as many as 19 illegal coal laden trucks which were kept hiding near Umling in Ri Bhoi District.

These illegal coal laden trucks were later brought to Nongpoh Police Station and cases have been registered against them as per relevant sections of law.
