Miss Scuba India 2022 likely in city

SHILLONG, Dec 30: Varsha Rajkhowa, an international beauty queen, youth icon and the first Indian to win the international crown of Miss Scuba International in 2016, is on a two-day visit to Shillong surveying the city with her production team.
She is planning to hold the Miss Scuba India 2022 in Shillong and aims to give Meghalaya an international platform.
Her visit also manifests a strong purpose to promote talent, sustainability, sustainable practices and development of tourism and city economy.
A pageant with a cause of saving oceans through beauty and creating ambassadors to spread awareness about ocean conservation and environment protection, the winner of the this contest will represent India internationally enabling local talents to shine globally. She is also endorsing Meghalaya by different social media platforms.
Varsha aims to build a valuable event for the state for which she is talking to officials in the city such as Alexander Laloo Hek.
Varsha Rajkhowa was touring around the world working towards the cause of saving ocean and spreading awareness about environment conservation.
She also became the Ocean Ambassador after winning the international crown.
She is a TEDx speaker, a climate reality leader, motivational speaker, short film maker, youth icon, actor, and owner, groomer and founder of Oceanic Divas, a fashion company also working on ocean conservation, environment activities, sustainable fashion and sustainable living.
She is the director and brand face of Miss Scuba India.
Varsha has done her Masters in Environmental Science along with being a successful model and an artist.
Varsha Rajkhowa recently was awarded BNHAF Award of Excellence in Delhi and was honoured and acknowledged for her contribution towards environment, pageant and media industry.
She recently visited Delhi to meet few officials from the government for her upcoming project and short documentaries, while on this trip she also met the legendary wildlife filmmaker Mike Pandey to seek his guidance on filmmaking and visited many institutes as celebrity guest and speaker and went on to talk about environment, climate change and ocean conservation.
Varsha recently was invited as a celebrity speaker to Amity University Delhi to speak about Climate Actions and takeaways that were discussed in COP26 Glassgow this year.
She was also travelling to different locations of India to endorse sustainable living and sustainable fashion.
Varsha Rajkhowa is planing to build up a brand to get in together eco-friendly products and sustainable growth along with development of countries.
She has her own production house which she started in 2019 under which she has produced two short films and also has shot and directed those movies, one of which is an underwater film called The Voice Of Ocean.
