In the order, the district magistrate noted that some miscreants have been using such destructive practices along the stretch of river Umngot, river Umlow and river Umngi [through Kenbah (Syntein), Kenmynsaw (Syntein), Domskong (syntein) Mawrapat, Mawsawa Mawkasain, Kenbah Malai, Phlangwanbroi, Kynrang, Rangweng, Pyndensohsaw, Jyllep, Khiehriat, Pomblang, Laitumsaw, Dangar, Dangar Dop, Umsawrang, Photstein, Umlynter, Lalpani and Pynden Borsora] under East Khasi Hills.
