Royal CC snatch 7-run win; Arochesta win big

SHILLONG, Jan 9: Arochesta registered a huge 5-run win over Dare Devils while Royal CC snatched a 7-run win against Warriors in the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament, here on Sunday.
In the first match, Arochesta won the toss and batted first, scoring 115 runs in 6 overs.
Dare Devils were defiant but were eventually restricted to 53 runs in their 6 overs. Debasish Sen was adjudged the Player-of-the-Match.
Then, Tagore Club fielded first against Cluster CC, restricting them to 56 runs in the allotted 6 overs.
In reply, Tagore Club scored 57 runs in 5.5 overs, winning by 5 wickets. Sabbuddin Ali was the Player-of-the-Match.
The third match saw Moonlight beat MCC Juniors by 10 runs. Moonlight won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 32 runs in 3.2 overs.
MCC Juniors could only manage 22 runs in 3.3 overs. The Player-of-the-Match award went to Rahul Singh.
Later, Sri Balaji CC beat IInd Innings by 4 wickets. IInd Innings won the toss and batted first, scoring 49 runs in 6 overs. Sri Balaji chased down the target in 4.2 overs. Prince Thakur won the Player-of-the-Match award.
In the fifth match, Royal CC batted first after winning the toss, scoring 57 in 6 overs, before restricting Warriors to 50 runs in 5.1 overs. Tarique Siddique was adjudged Player-of-the-Match.
In the last match of the day, Innings won the toss and fielded first against Vintage United, who scored 71 in 6 overs. In reply, Innings could only get to 39 runs. Vikash Sharma was named Player-of-the-Match.
