Ryntih SC to set up football academy at Diengpasoh

SHILLONG, Jan 10: Ryntih Sports Club has entered into an agreement with I-League club Minerva Punjab FC for setting up a football academy at Diengpasoh, East Khasi Hills District.
The agreement between the two clubs was signed between Minerva Punjab FC general manager, Harshit Tyagi and members of the clubs including Mawlai MDC, Teibor Pathaw, BDO of Mylliem C&RD Block, Tremi Passah and Ransom Sutnga.
“We are happy to be working together with Ryntih Sports Club on this venture to set up the football academy,” Tyagi said on Monday.
Meanwhile, Ryntih chief executive officer (CEO), Samran Syiem said, “We are happy that the participation in the Second Division I-League has given us an opportunity to meet the director of Minerva Punjab FC, Ranjit Bajaj to discuss the possibilities of setting up of the academy.” Syiem said the land for the academy belongs to Diengpasoh Dorbar Shnong and a lease agreement of 40 years was signed.
