Edn min discusses operationalising state university

SHILLONG, Jan 14: Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui on Friday presided over the first meeting of the board of governors of Captain Williamson Sangma Technical University to discuss operationalising the technical university.
The education minister also inspected the construction of university campus while informing that the government has sanctioned 56 posts of faculty and staff for the university.
It may be mentioned that over 70% of the work on the technical university building has been completed and the government is trying to get a sanction for the road leading to the university and other services.
It may be mentioned that the state government intends to inaugurate it on January 21 coinciding with the celebration of the 50th year of statehood. Meanwhile, Rymbui along with the MLA and other officials inspected the construction work of Model Degree College at Rongjeng.
