WKH man arrested over theft

NONGSTOIN, Jan 14: Police in West Khasi Hills have arrested a man from Urkali village for allegedly purloining 18 layer birds from pig and poultry farm at Mawiaban.
According to a police complaint by Dr. Sunita Snaitang, the incident happened on the wee hours of Friday the man, identified as Karness Lynkghoi, reportedly stole the layer birds by damaging the door hook of the shed.
While 13 layer birds have been recovered from Lynkghoi’s possession, five are yet to be found.
Meanwhile, the accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
