Electric pole catches fire in city; none hurt

SHILLONG, Jan 15: Panic gripped Motphran area momentarily on Saturday afternoon after an electric pole caught fire during busy hours.
Police said that the MeECL was intimated about the incident following which fire tenders arrived at the spot and doused the fire.
It may be mentioned that no case of injury was reported during the incident.
The power supply in the area, however, was affected for some time.
