A documentary on 50th statehood day

SHILLONG, Jan 19: In commemoration of Meghalaya’s 50 years of statehood and the brave hearts who had taken part in the Hill State movement, the Shillong College on Wednesday released the promotional video of their documentary “Meghalaya’s Journey: Visions Achievements and Challenges.”
The documentary has been worked on by the Honours students of the departments of Political Science and History under the guidance of the heads and faculty members of these departments.
The project which has been sponsored by RUSA, Meghalaya features interviews with some of the pioneers of the Hill State movement, academicians, public representatives and various leaders of the community from the past and present.
