Missing Ampati girl rescued from New Delhi

Shillong, Feb 5: A 19-year-old girl, who had gone missing from the town of Ampati in South West Garo Hills (SWGH)  of the state since Jan 19 last, was rescued from the Najafgarh area in the National Capital Region of New Delhi on Feb 2 by the Delhi Achik Association (DAA).

The girl, as per her own admission, had fallen in love with a boy from the city of Siliguri in West Bengal.

The boy was residing in the capital where the 19-year-old girl reached by a train, sometime last month.

Reports stated that the girl was addicted to the ‘Free Fire’ online game where she met the boy and apparently fell in love before deciding to live with him in New Delhi.

The missing girl is on her way back to Garo Hills on Feb 5.
