Mukul seeks CS action on illegal coal mining

SHILLONG, Feb 18: Leader of Opposition, Mukul Sangma has petitioned the Chief Secretary demanding action against illegal coal mining at A.sak A.bri under Khalu Gare A.King land in Shallang.
Sangma said he had received a representation from the agent, Khalu Gare A.King land regarding the continuing illegal mining.
He drew the Chief Secretary’s attention to a representation submitted to the Deputy Commissioner by the Nokma and other clan representatives of Khalu Gare Mahari A.King land on the demand for immediate action against illegal mining.
