SHILLONG, Feb 25: The online reporting system of the Meghalaya State Food Commission was on Friday commissioned by the Meghalaya Chief Secretary, RV Suchiang in a function held at the Main Secretariat Conference Hall, Shillong, in the presence of the Chairman of the Meghalaya Food Commission, PS Thangkhiew and other senior officers.
The launch of the online reporting portal will facilitate quick submission of reports by the District Grievance Redressal Officers.
Notably, the launch of the system comes in the wake of several complaints pertaining to midday meal scheme, anomalies relating to weights and measures in fair price shops that have been lodged with the Meghalaya State Food Commission ever since its inception in 2016.
