Around 40 identified organic ginger growers of three different blocks of Ri Bhoi and East Khasi Hills district attended a day-long programme on “Skill Development on Bioinoculant Technologies, In-situ Mass Production Technologies, Organic Cultivation of Ginger” at Mylliem Mawasawa on Saturday. Two expert personals, Prof. Dwipendra Thakuriaand Dr Pranab Dutta, Associate Professor, CAU-CPGSAS, Umiamacted as resource person in the train ing. Farmers were trained both theoretically and practically on total organic package and practices of ginger, rhizome treatment with biofertilizer and biopesticides and fortified organic compost, preparation of spray solution of biopesticides.
