KOLKATA, March 3: RoundGlass Punjab FC and Churchill Brothers FC are set for their I-League 2021-22 match at the Naihati Stadium, here on Friday.
RoundGlass Punjab FC began their I-League campaign with a 2-0 win over Rajasthan United in December 2021, before the league was postponed due to a COVID outbreak.
Addressing the media at the official pre-match press conference on Thursday, RoundGlass Punjab FC, head coach, Ashley Westwood said, “We re-assembled as soon as we found out the league was restarting. It was a case of doing a mini pre-season and it is very important that we managed to get all players out from this period free of injury. We’ve got a tight-knit group and a competitive element to our side.”
“Churchill Brothers are one of the I-League title contenders. We look forward to the match and gauge where we stand as a team. We’ll try to be on the front foot and take the game to them. We will do everything we can to win,” Westwood added.
