NONGSTOIN, March 6: Health authorities in West Khasi Hills have been asked to act against the slipshod dumping of medical waste at Mawbyrshem, Wahriat, in New Nongstoin.
One Ialamjingshai Thongni from Nongstoin has raised a complaint, alleging that some miscreants had dumped medical waste at a public place.
Upon finding the medical waste, Thongni cautiously collected the medical equipment and handed it over to staff of Solid & Liquid Waste Management, Nongstoin, for its proper disposal.
He, in his complaint, also asked the health authorities to initiate action against the ones involved in disposing of the medical waste at public places.
