TURA, March 12: The All Garo Hills Muster Roll Workers’ Union (AGHMRWU) has urged the Chief Engineer PWD (Building) in Shillong to look into the anomalies at PWD (B) Division Tura which is reportedly causing problems for the muster roll workers.
In their complaint to the official, the Union said, “Vacant posts of Group ‘D’ are still lying unimplemented since a long time back even though we had appealed to  fill them up by accommodating 50 per cent of the vacancies to the Senior RCW Workers as per the policy of the reservation. Secondly, the RCW Workers are entitled to avail the festival advances, children education loan but the workers of PWD (B) Division Tura are denied these facilities despite repeated request.”
The Union has, meanwhile, urged the official to bring a solution to the problem at the earliest.
