Natl seminar stresses on conservation of NE species

SHILLONG, March 26: A two-day national seminar, which was organised by the department of Botany of University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), has stressed on the need to conserve species endemic to the North East.
The seminar, which concluded on Saturday, was organised in collaboration with Central Silk Board, Assam, and was attended by over 100 participants.
The programme also emphasised on the conservation of seribiodiversity, as well as microbial and plant biodiversity.
