11-yr-old city girl bags best actor in NE award

SHILLONG, March 28: An 11-year-old Lasara Banbet Pathaw from Shillong picked up the ‘Best Actor (Female) North East’ award at Prag Cine Awards 2022, which were presented at Silchar DSA Stadium, Assam, on Saturday.
Lasara Banbet Pathaw made her debut with the Khasi film Ki Ummat, for which she bagged the award.
A student of Class VII at Laban Presbyterian Higher Secondary School, Lasara is the daughter of Onita Pathaw and Suresh Marwein, and a resident of Dhankheti.
It may be mentioned that the film Ki Ummat was also nominated for Best Film North East, Best Director North East, Best Actor Male North East (Shiningstar Kharsyntiew)
Ki Ummat is directed by S Kharsyntiew, which also happens to be his debut film, and produced by Thomlin Kharsyntiew. The film was screened at Bijou Cinema Hall between November 19 and 25 last year.
