Award for Neil Nongkynrih, others

SHILLONG, April 2: Founder of Shillong Chamber Choir Neil Nongkynrih was on Friday posthumously awarded alongside other prominent people during the Vocational Excellence Awards programme, which was organised by Rotary Club Shillong Heritage at Pinewood Hotel, Shillong.
According to a statement, the programme was attended by Kishan Tibrewalla, Assistant Governor, Zone X, Rotary District 3240, as the guest of honour, Club members and other dignitaries.
During the programme, awards were conferred upon Neil Nongkynrih and were received by members of Shillong Chamber Choir.
The other awardees were West Khasi Hills-based sculptor Darsing Syiemlieh, artist Careen Joplin Langstieh, acclaimed activist and entrepreneur Dasumarlin Majaw, a social activist Samanda Phanwar.
