SHILLONG, April 2: The price of milk in the city will soon be increased after a move of the milkmen’s association to revise the rates, according to a statement.
The general secretary of the Milkmen Association of East Khasi Hills, Ranjee Roy, said that they have decided to increase the rate of milk from Rs 46 to Rs 50 per litre.
The new rate will come into effect from Sunday.
The association said the revision is the result of an increase in the prices of cattle feeds and other essential commodities.
