Herd of wild jumbos spotted at SWGH

AMPATI, May 6: A herd of wild elephants was spotted in the Thakuranbari area of South West Garo Hills on Friday evening.
According to the DFO of Wildlife, Arphiyush Sangma, the herd was seen near the border village of Monabari before it made its way towards Thakuranbari.
He also added that a team from the state wildlife department is stationed there to ensure safe passage for everyone. The matter came to light after a lone elephant was seen in at least two schools on Friday morning.
