Crash course on JEE, NEET begins for GH aspirants

TURA, May 7: A crash course on JEE and NEET for the aspiring students from Garo Hills region was inaugurated at the Tura Science Centre on Saturday.
Organised by the Meghalaya Science Society, Tura, the crash course was inaugurated by West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh.
As per the organisers of the event, a total of 100 candidates had applied for the crash course but due to limited availability of seats and space, 56 candidates were selected on merit basis.
The classes, as part of the crash course, will be held on Saturdays and Sundays till the third week of July.
Dr Madhusudhan Dutta, the secretary of the Tura chapter of the Meghalaya Science Society was instrumental in framing the crash course, which is being supported by project STAR of the WGH district administration.
About 15 to 20 experienced resource persons from different fields will render their services for the youths of Garo Hills.
