State govt effects bureaucratic reshuffle

SHILLONG, May 13: The state government on Friday effected a reshuffle in the bureaucracy.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Finance department with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Swapnil Tembe has been transferred and posted as deputy commissioner of West Garo Hills.
Ramakrishna Chitturi, Joint Secretary, Finance and Community & Rural Development departments, will now also function as Joint Secretary, Planning department with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
Mitali Chandra, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sardar) East Khasi Hills District, has been transferred and posted as Under Secretary, Health & Family Welfare department, Additional Mission Director, National Health Mission and as Director, Meghalayan Age Limited under the Tourism Department with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
Levenstone C Marak, Additional East Garo Hills DC, will now hold charge of the post of East Garo Hills DC, in addition to his own duties.
