Body of man retrieved from Moopun Falls

JOWAI, May 19: After four days since the tragic death of one Monu Mahariya from Rajasthan, his body was on Thursday retrieved from Moopun waterfalls in Mutong village, East Jaintia Hills district, where he had drowned.
The body has been shifted to Khliehriat CHC for autopsy.
According to sources, his body was found floating on the water surface.
Mahariya, who was an employee of a hardware store at Mooralong Jowai, and 12 of his friends were reportedly on a picnic trip when some of them decided to swim but Mahariya drowned.
