Decomposed body found in SWKH
MAWKYRWAT, May 27: A highly-decomposed body of an unidentified man around 30-35 years was found in a stream of Umbar village in Ranikor, South West Khasi Hills. The Superintendent of Police of the district, BJ Laloo, said that the body was found by locals at 9 am on May 24. Accordingly, the body was taken to Ranikor CHC for inquest and has been kept in the morgue room of the CHC for identification, the SP said, adding that the man was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Prog on banking awareness
SHILLONG, May 27: A training programme on Electronic Banking Awareness and Training (eBAAT) to improve digital awareness was held at Police Headquarters here on Friday. The training programme was organised by the Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati, wherein awareness on grievance redressal mechanism in regulated entities of RBI, Ombudsman scheme, and RBI guidelines on customer service were imparted. Police officials from across the state attended the training programme which was inaugurated by Director General of Police, Dr LR Bishnoi, in the presence of Special DGP I Nongrang and other senior officers.
