NCC cadets, students partake in mock exercise on disaster

SHILLONG, May 27: National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and students of the college participated in a training programme on Disaster Management and Mock Exercise organised by the NCC unit and the Disaster Management Cell of Shillong College on Friday.
The programme was conducted by the Civil Defence personnel from the office of the Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, East Khasi Hills.
Speaking on the occasion, principal of the college, Dr E Kharkongor emphasised on civil defence measures during emergencies and natural disasters.
Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, East Khasi Hills, G Kharumnuid, briefed the cadets and students to always be ready and extend help to others in the event of any disaster.
